Public Sector & the Recognition of Sovereignty

Working from the National Endowment for the Arts to City of Phoenix Office of Arts and Culture to now at the Arizona Commission on the Arts has allowed me to see how from the national to the local level these organizations are working for Native populations and how to better provide resources to these communities who have sovereign rights recognized in treaties.

Self-Determination through Storytelling

As a closer to the end of my time in the Native American Political Leadership Program, I was chosen to be one of two to give closing remarks about my time in the program at our reception in the Johnson room on Capitol Hill. I spoke of how our stories carry on our cultures and how they bring hope to our communities.
